Quasonix leadership role in introducing new technologies improving the quality of flight test data

Aeronautical telemetry was supported by a standard set of tools for the last 40 years of the 20th century.  Some of these legacy tools are still in use today, but they do not come close to matching the performance available now.  New technologies, introduced in the past few years, have revolutionized the way telemetry is done, and the dramatically improved the quality of the flight test data thereby delivered.  This overview describes these technologies, and the leadership role that Quasonix has taken in their introduction.

BDSI adds new Quasonix product line.

BDSI is proud to add to its product offerings a new line of telemetry transmitters and receivers manufactured by Quasonix that is a recognized industry leader for spectrally efficient modulations such as SOQPSK-TG and Multi-h (ARTM) CPM.

The Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) Forward Error Correction mode is a breakthrough addition to Quasonix transmitters and receivers.

 TIMTER™ Transmitters

The TIMTER™ transmitters, offers the most versatility with advanced capabilities, and output power up to 25 Watts.

Our transmitters offer three different modulations of increasing spectral efficiency – PCM/FM, SOQPSK-TG, and Multi-h CPM – also known as ARTM Tiers 0, I, and II, at standard bit rates from 0.1 to 28 Mbps (0.05 to 14 Mbps for PCM/FM). (The maximum bit rate with a Clock Free transmitter is 35 Mbps for all modes.)

Rack-Mount RDMS™ Telemetry Receiver Featuring four high-quality color displays for configuration, control, and constellation / eye pattern monitoring, a full numeric keypad, dedicated function keys, a custom aluminum chassis, and an Ethernet-based remote client interface that simplifies operation -
Quasonix’ Rack-Mount RDMS weighs less than 10 pounds (in a dual-channel), occupies just 1U of rack space, and offers one or two channels of P-band, lower L, upper L, S, and C-band operation. It also offers an optional pre-detection diversity combiner, which is entirely digitally implemented for superior signal fidelity.

Quasonix’ Multi-Mode Airborne RDMS™ Telemetry Receiver features an extremely sensitive RF down converter integrated with the company’s market-leading ARTM demodulator and bit synchronization in a compact 12 cubic inch flight-ready package. Quasonix’ Rack-Mount Receiver Analyzer weighs only 12 pounds and occupies just 1U of rack space. It includes two complete ARTM signal generators, four (soon to be eight) internal Bit Error Rate Testers (BERTs), and supports a variety of receiver and combiner performance tests.
